The Marketing & Advertising Guru, David Mackenzie Ogilvy, CBE, (23 June 1911 – 21 July 1999), was an advertising executive. He is widely hailed as “The Father of Advertising.”[1] In 1962,Time called him “the most sought-after wizard in today’s advertising industry.” Ogilvy knew the difference between marketing and advertising. In a time of Advertising pitch men and charlatans, David Ogilvy was the real deal. I found this video while perusing marketing videos on Youtube the other day. While the market and how consumers respond to our marketing and advertising campaigns has changed a great deal, many of the old adages from Ogilvy still ring true to this day.
